The fact is: there's no way to stop a homicidal maniac from fantasizing about killing people. That means if they have one way to do it stopped, they'll think of other methods. For instance, there have been several incidents in China in the last ten years where some maniac broke into a schoolroom and killed numerous children with just a knife.

We finally found something for us oldsters to do. And we are not as afraid to die as others since we have lived a long and full life. Retired peace officers and other well-regulated individuals, (carrying concealed) allowed to "visit" the school and have a meal at the school cafeteria, would be a strong deterrent.
