Yes there is a small shelf which holds 5 or 6 remote TV and stereo remotes and has room left over for 2 cans a Chef Boyardee ravioli.
This guy’s shelter was on the Discover America(?) channel last night. He lives with his family in Wisconsin. The shelter is 20’ underground and made of corrugated ~circular~ pipe. The shelter’s storage is under the floor accessible via pull-up floor panels. As you can see in the picture there is quite a lot of space available under the floor. He has a generator, batteries and enough food and water for over a year.
The 42” flat screen is for DVDs.
He’s in there now with his family as the host specifically asked him if he’d be in there on 21 Dec. and he said definitely.
