How true. I have a list as long as your arm of other weapons I'd like to buy as soon as the financial picture improves. And I'm just a lady. I just figure that my daughter and I have the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and we can't enjoy those rights if we have to live in fear of being raped and/or murdered and/or robbed.
I recently bought ammo for the nanny that watches my grandbabies. Daughter joins her and pays for range time.
My daughter, the grandbabies, and the nanny deserve to live and thrive. All I can do is push a little practice ammo that way to encourage that. Besides what I did, instilling those values when daughter was a bratling herself.
She found out at Thanksgiving that the first rifle she shot was an AR-7. She never knew what it was, before. It was a bonding moment. I still have it. She'll inherit it.
