Add to that the most excellent opportunity ever to impose a national gun registry and total restrictions on purchase, sale or exchange of anything but the most innocuous of sidearms.
This also keeps attention off the complete abdication of responsibility for averting the fiscal cliff, which, if nobody is noticing, is rapidly approaching, yet Bronco Bama refuses to negotiate in any serious vein. So far, Speaker Boehner is essentially negotiating with himself.
