Breitbart - Big Government ^ | Saturday, December 16, 2012 | Kerry Picket

Andrew McLaughlin a former member of President Obama's senior White House staff, who served as Deputy Chief Technology Officer of the United States, mocked Nancy Lanza, the murdered mother of the Newtown, CT massacre killer Adam Lanza, on Twitter Saturday evening:

"The ever-brilliant Jo Miller nails it: "Thank god Nancy Lanza had a personal arsenal for her protection, or she might not be alive today.""

You see they are making fun of our incessant refrain of “if only XXXXXX had a gun”.

We have to remember it’s not a cure-all. Things don’t always go by our ideal scenarios. Personally I think having a decent German Shepherd is the best for preventing crimes at all, but even I know that a nut bent on destruction would probably chance the alarm and the bites and just shoot the dog.

Thank God we got liberals wanting to ban guns because when all guns are banned that will stop mass murder like this....

Tremendous pic and let us not forget that friends of the unconstitutionally elected admitted foreign born communist currently posing as our President are already calling for citizens to be locked up who oppose him.

The single mistake people make when it comes to tyranny is thinking “Oh it can’t happen here”. They ignore all the signs until it is too late, and lately we have been getting one hell of a lot of those signs. Even today, I live in New York city and Despot Bloomberg announced he is banning smoking in apartments. A legal product in the privacy of your own residence, the state dictates how you will conduct yourself. I don’t smoke, but that is just one more example of how it starts very small, very tiny changes, then it moves onto bigger things once they see what they can get away with.

Well she should have kept her personal arsenal away from her unstable son at least. She and 26 others would be alive today if she had (or at least until he turned 21 and could buy a gun for himself).

"The ever-brilliant Jo Miller nails it: "Thank god Nancy Lanza had a personal arsenal for her protection, or she might not be alive today.""

The pea-brained Miller hasn't got the smarts to figure out that, the perpetrator in the killing of his mother, could just as easily murdered her with a kitchen knife, or a hammer, or a shovel, or by strangulation, all of which are not considered "weapons" until they are used as weapons. Lanza's mother probably never suspected that her son was going to be the one to murder her. She was armed to protect against a non-relative intruder.

AFAIK, at 18 you can buy a long rifle. That was the main weapon used; or so I heard on the radio last night at 2 a.m.

Every time a liberal idiot tells me that we should ban guns, my response is “you mean like the War on Drugs”? That usually shuts them up pretty quickly.

Has anyone wondered just why that shooting in the Oregon mall only resulted in 2 deaths?? Well, there was a hero involved who does NOT meet the agenda of the Drive By’s:

The Left keeps it simple and shallow, reducing everything to the urgent need for action (preferably whatever will enrich them financially and give them more power).

Articles circulating today are saying she took him to shooting ranges and taught him how to shoot.

We still don’t know exactly what his mental issues were, but certainly Mrs. Lanza is not coming off as the brightest bulb here.

Still doing my best to give her the benefit of the doubt.
She is not able to explain her story - to defend herself.

We do know he was very intelligent.
She may have had everything locked up - but he was a 20 year old adult and perfectly capable of searching around for keys.

>It frustrates me to not have seen this story until now.<

When news of that shooting hit the airwaves I admit I wondered, "why only 2 deaths?".

This news really needs to be spread. The fact that a CC holder confronted the perp, stopping his little moment of infamy without having to ever fire a shot should be common knowledge. The media is a sad joke.

He was also perfectly capable of purchasing his own guns at 20 years old and with no criminal record. He bought body armor didn’t he?
Anyway why isn’t dear ole’ remarried dad with the new life getting any slack for not being there more for his emotionally disturbed son? I read that the father and the older brother did not talk with the shooter, Adam Lanza, in a few years. So both older males left the house and isolated him with his ma when he was having all these issues? Interesting.

Jo Miller may be an unpleasant moron, but Nancy Lanza was extremely stupid.

She treated a lunatic as if he were a responsible adult.

She had every material advantage - her ex-husband was paying her hundreds of thousands of dollars a year just for existing.

She had one earthly responsibility and her failure is something that many families are now paying for.

I’m betting this ninny didn’t complain about the armed protection he enjoyed in the Executive Branch, or likely in the building he worked in when on the daily show.

Two comments :
  1. Journalism is a crucial element of leftism, and it promotes the rest of leftism.

  2. they "reduce everything to the urgent need for action” preferably whatever which will promote their influence. Surprisingly enough </sarcasm> the “urgent need for action” which journalists promote is never against the interests of journalism in particular or leftism generally.

He did try to purchase a gun at Dick’s and they denied him.

It sounds like he got pi$$y when they informed him of the waiting period.

Who knows, maybe there is something in his background relating to his emotional/mental issues that may have triggered a red flag - but I don’t really know how the law works there.

Are there legal restrictions on the purchase of body armor?

yes - it is being reported that both Dad and brother had shut Adam out for 2 years.

He certainly was very generous with the money.

However - it is being reported that neither the father nor the brother had had contact with Adam for 2 years.

Do you find this odd?
