What do you think about an Aspie parent raising an Aspie child? I have family in this situation and wonder what you might have to say about it.

Seeing what I've seen of Asperger's that has the potential for disaster written all over it.What I've seen is normal parents with Asperger kids and that's been pretty damn ugly I can tell ya!

My husband would probably qualify as an aspie, as well as his father. School slapped that label on my son.

They’re all doing just fine. My husband is a smart, caring, father and my son is turning into an intelligent, articulate, charming young man.

In the 1960’s it was be unique, find ourself, do you own thing. Now its, wow, he marches to his own drummer. He must have Aspergers.

That would be excellent! An aspie parent could truly understand some of their needs first hand. I had to trust and respect. My belief that Gd makes everyone in His image helped me.
