The other response, WRT privately owned weapons in the home, is “if you can’t stand the answer, don’t ask the question”. I always had my rifle in my quarters. Just never did ask anybody whether I could. I know the armorer hates to have a bunch of POWs in his armory.
Thanks again, I live off-base but work onboard and I can’t even bring (legally) my pistol locked in my trunk so I could stop off at the range on the way home. Ridiculous.
