I see virtually nothing in the way of citizen logistical preparation on an organized and practiced basis, particularly since the National Guard is nearly completely Federalized. The people can buy all the guns and ammo they want, but if they don't have a way to organize and supply said 'militia of the people,' they've got a losing battle, particularly against an enemy as ruthless as communo-fascists.

Every year the militias in the US run a live-fire training exercise where around 10 million snipers assemble in the woods with guns, ammo, comms, camo, and full logistic trains. Most folks call it “Deer season”. Did you expect CW2 to be fought marching shoulder to shoulder across open fields against the Redcoats?
