Collect and save important books now.
Someday soon they will be almost unavailable.

People are willingly but unwittingly making it easier and easier for the government to curb freedoms and control information by embracing electronic conveniences.

When students and the general population are weaned off paper books and ‘trained’ to totally receive their information electronically, the government will have the power to control what everyone can read or not read.

Someday only approved books will be converted to digital form.

Libraries today are already stocking fewer and fewer books.
Old reference books are increasingly being replaced with electronic versions.
The book stacks in libraries are almost deserted while the growing ranks of computer workstations have people waiting for a turn.

We have already surpassed the limits of George Orwell’s most extreme warnings of totalitarian government information control and more is on the way.

the government will have the power to control what everyone can read or not read.

With the ability to instantly change any of it because everything will be stored in the cloud.

They let Ronald Reagan slip in, but even he could not end the Department of Education even tho he ran on that, then is when this Coup d'état really began in earnest.

Only our enemies can get a real education here.

we are raising our two sons on the classics... we began the moment we brought them home... they are four years apart... instead of trying to save money and have our younger son use his brothers books, we purchase each our of boys their own, so they each can have at least the start of their own collections when they leave the nest... (we do reuse math books, science books, the text-type books)...

Good point. You don’t have to burn the books, you just have to out-tech them.
