I don't care for German beer myself. Almost everything they make is a lager style, meaning bottom-fermented and cold-conditioned beer. I prefer top fermentation, which uses different strains of yeast, a somewhat warmer process, and richer flavors to my palate.

I don't look to Germany for good beer. Rather, I look to Belgium and the UK or, above all, the US microbrews. Ales, porters, and stouts are where it's at for me.

Delirium Tremens. A great Belgian beer. I also partake of Porters, Amber Ales, and Wheat beers.

I have some brands I enjoy more than others but I try to mix it up to find and enjoy a range of tastes.
