Iran Flies Propaganda; US Denies Drone Downed

The United States has denied an Iranian Revolutionary Guards’ claim that they downed a US spy drone, possibly part of the regime’s propaganda in the wake of mounting evidence pointing to a feverish race to develop a nuclear weapon.

“The U.S. Navy has fully accounted for all unmanned air vehicles (UAV) operating in the Middle East region. Our operations in the Gulf are confined to internationally recognized water and air space,” a spokesman for U.S. Naval Forces Central Command in Bahrain told news agencies. “We have no record that we have lost any ScanEagles recently.”

Iran’s state-controlled media reported Tuesday morning that the Guards downed an American spy drone hours after reports that the United States stepped up spying on the Bushehr nuclear plant.

The Guards supposedly captured a ScanEagle drone over the Persian Gulf waters upon its intrusion into the Iranian airspace.

Guards Navy Commander Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi said, “Such drones are usually launched from large aircraft carriers.”

Iran’s frequent unsubstantiated claims of military power and downed unmanned US aircraft have increased markedly the past two years, simultaneous with a deteriorating economy hampered by sanctions. .....

They were mistaken. The mosquito that A'jad swatted was not a US drone, but a Mossad agent.

I thought the drones fly out of a land base in North Africa?

The U.S. Navy reports that it has lost no UAVs. So? They don’t own them all, you know. If I were a certain three-letter agency, would I miss-mark them? In a heart beat. I might even mark them as belonging to a third-party country if I really wanted to stir things up.

And Iran is putting up these so called patriotic flagpoles everywhere but there is a curious addition to these poles, and its being reported that what they are is signal jammers to block cell phones and internet.

Iran is shutting off its people from the rest of the world.

Now just what is new lately around town here in the states? Any new flagpoles with triangles on them?

The Iranians have released video of the Boeing ScanEagle in their possession

Video Link showing Boeing ScanEagle in Iran

Of course there is no indication when this ScanEagle was lost. Iran has been saying for over a year that they would release images of all the drones in their possession. The US Navy has admitted that it has lost ScanEagles in the region in the past. ScanEagles were also used during Iraq.

I'm sad to say that I am more apt to believe the Iranian government than my own.

UAVs will fly out of friendly nations surrounding Iran. For example the RQ-170 was known to operate out of Afghanistan. The ScanEagles used by the US Navy like the one in Iranian possession will operate from ships.

‘”Our operations in the Gulf are confined to internationally recognized water and air space,” a spokesman for U.S. Naval Forces Central Command in Bahrain told news agencies.’

If that’s true - and, personally, I’d be utterly astonished - then it’s a blindfold which is utterly counterproductive, not to mention fatuously stupid.

Of course it’s not true. But they dasn’t say aloud that they’re violating Iranian air space. But wait...fatuous...stupid...it’s true.
