HUNTINGTON (WABC) -- Paul Nosak, a tree-servicer owner says he had always dreamed of bringing his company to New York and making a difference.
Nosak was part of a clean-up outside the Huntington Baptist Church, where several huge trees had fallen on the roof. A local tree service originally said that the removal of the trees would have to wait until January...
Nosak then saw the damage as he passed through the neighborhood by chance. He then walked into the church to offer his immediate services...
A team of eight workers joined Nosak and got the job done in 48 hours, but with his tractor trailers and other equipment parked outside the church overnight, Paul returned Saturday morning to serious vandalism - tires were slashed, a major piece of equipment was damaged, diesel fuel was siphoned and air hoses that are part of a brake system were cut.

IF Michael Bloomturd had sons, they’s act like these vandals and look like John Gotti.

Huntington, Long Island, north shore - maybe not quite 50 miles east of Manhattan.
Raised there from 1939 to 1949, in the Soundview/Westbury/Carley Ave. area. . .
Almost always drive thru there when visiting from our residence now in So. CA.
And always amazed by the convenience of using the Long Island Rail Road!
When I was a kid, I overheard adults talking about enemy soldiers being held prisoners around there. (Germans? Italians?) Don’t know. Very scary. We had blackouts, recycling, ration books, war bond drives, etc., and then heard this.
Thought about that a few years ago, and realized I never knew if this was true or not.
Haven’t researched it to this day!
It’s a cautionary tale to all parents to be very careful what you say around kids.
I have observed parents nowadays - including our daughters - talking about everything under the sun in earshot of kids - not good. Why burden kids with your ap-cray - ??
(For the most part, my parents said very little ‘adult stuff’ in front of my brother and I. Believe they waited until in their bedroom).
Sorry to hear all the troubles disaster workers are having in the New York area.. Don’t blame them one bit for not going back.
In situations like this, I think what's called for is just to bring a little more equipment. Night observation equipment. And ballistic equipment.
Youre out here trying to take our money. Thats kind of hard, man. We wouldnt go to Oklahoma and do that to you guys.
If the Yankees would actually do the work efficiently (instead of strectching it out to pay for TWO Christmas seasons) then these out-of-state crews wouldn’t be here.
Normally we have “out of country” people (Mexicans) doing this stuff; I suspect whoever left the message was using them while billing as though American unionized workers were being used.
Actually the Long Island suburbs haven’t voted Republican in a presidential election since 1988, and even Staten Island voted for Obama this time. Even upstate votes overwhelmingly for Schumer, as you know.
Any bets that the bastards that did this were working for a local tree service.
Only folks I'm remotely sorry for are the Staten Islanders.
