The White House condemned Israel's decision to build more than 3,000 new settlements in the occupied West Bank and in East Jerusalem.

"We reiterate our longstanding opposition to settlements and East Jerusalem construction and announcements," National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor said.

"We believe these actions are counterproductive and make it harder to resume direct negotiations or achieve a two state solution. Direct negotiations remain our goal and we encourage all parties to take steps to make that easier to achieve," Vietor said.

So after voting against the “recognition” of “Palestine”, the White House does its own turn of inviting World War Three to occur.

Ok, second solution, fire one missile back for every missile fired out of gaza. Within a few months, Gaza will be open for settlement.

You know, when Jordan was created out of Israel, they drew a new line in the river and said, no longer are we Trans Jordan (across the Jordan) now we are east bank and west bank.

Then they drew a new line around the west bank and said no longer are we East bank and West bank, now we are east Jerusalem and West Jerusalem.

Excuse me, but if you want peace in the middle east, move the Arabs into Arabia and move the Hebrews to Hebron. The last people you need advice from on making peace in the Middle East is the one country at war there. Hows that Hopey Changie thing doing in Lybia, Iran, Iraq, Afganistan and Egypt there Mr. Barack Hussain Obama?

Israel is its own Nation, they can make up their own minds about things. Our Congress and State department are vauable to know how NOT to do things, thats about it. Everything this Administration touchs turns to manure.

I have a good suggestion to Barry Soetoro, you want middle east peace, quit arming Al Queda and other known terrorist groups. Fast and Furious does not make sense in the Middle East Either.

Unless of course you were a terrorist, bent on the destruction of western civilisation.

Then everything that the Choom gang leader does makes sense.

To OneDoug: Not “Building a greater Israel”.

“Just rebuilding an Israel/Jerusalem that was destroyed.”

Since the Palestinian nation never existed, it has no claim to that which was.

"We believe these actions [announcements of settlement construction] are counterproductive and make it harder to resume direct negotiations or achieve a two state solution.

After yesterday's fiasco at the UN, the morons at the WH think it is Israel's construction plans that prevent direct negotiations. BTW, don't forget that "settlements" includes East Jerusalem!

I have never figured out why Israel used these terms to define what they are doing. For instance, settlements should be termed developments. Has a better connotation. Also, the Palistinians have been described in living in refugee camps. How can it be a refugee camp when the building are brick and mortar and are permanent?

It makes no sense. Plus they call the land they won fair and square in the 6 day war, occupied territories. Why not call them spoils of war? And then tell everyone to go to hell.

I am sure glad the White Hut is on Israel’s side.

Is this more of the direct negotiations that have been advocated over unilateral edicts?

Just want to make sure I understand this clearly.

Israel belongs to Jacob. Completely. Period. Any attempt to divide the Land will bring Divine punishment. Every nation that wars against Israel will be destroyed. The surrounding nations would do well to give up on the idea of “wiping Israel off the map”. Instead, they would be better occupied in retracing the cultural steps that brought them a culture of death. It is interesting that the American polity that champions the killing of the unborn is also committed to dismembering the nascent Kingdom of G-d that is in the ‘womb’ of Klal Israel. The Bible calls these days “The Birthpangs of Messiah”. I’ve got news for the haters of HaKodesh BoruchHu the earth will open up and swallow them whole. Selah.
