Voters, both Republican and Democratic, think Obama should pursue more oil and gas development. Hopefully, he will listen and sanity will prevail. I won't hold my breath.

Hopefully, he will listen and sanity will prevail. Obama answers to a higher source--himself.

Oil and gas have been doing ok DESPITE the EPA thugs and Obama... It’s shale extraction technology which is coping with these evil policies... but that will be the next marxist stop: destroy all technological incentive in the US that cope.
No good deed will be unpunished because bad deeds of welfare, decadence, corruption, free amnesties this and that cannot be punished.

"Will he throw his anti-fossil fuel ideology under the bus and in the economic interest of the nation?? 0bama is an ideologue who hates this nation. The writer and question are stupid.
Of course 0bama will throw "fossil" fuel and the nation under the bus. Duh!

I know I am in the minority here, but I do believe that Barry is going to throw his Greenie supporters under the bus and pursue expanded oil and gas development.
If he plans to grow government as rapidly as he appears to, he will absolutely need that revenue, no doubt.

When I see and hear the “pros” complain about “demographics’ Obama’s energy policy was an issue which wasn’t even touched. This issue crossed into every “demographic” and should have been hammered away at. The reason it wasn’t is they tripped over global warming . Well the sun does not revolve around the earth.

You know, when I was asked earlier about the issue of coal, uh, you know - Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket. Even regardless of what I say about whether coal is good or bad. Because I'm capping greenhouse gases, coal power plants, you know, natural gas, you name it - whatever the plants were, whatever the industry was, they would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that money on to consumers.
