NO....you will NOT see a Doc...you’ll be prescreened by an administrative person, who then MAY let you see a Physicians Assistant, who then will decide if MAYBE you are worthy of seeing a doc. Of course, if you grease the palms enough, you’ll get to go closer to the front of the waiting line...

Medicare is coming up with strict rules regarding physician supervision of PAs. This will limit the use of PAs, but NPs will still be able to see patients w/o physicians in the building. As far as Medicare is concerned, the idea to to restrict access for old people as a way to reduce costs. The ‘complete lives system’ will reduce the surplus, GOP voting population. Meanwhile, for the time being, Medicaid patients (illegals, single women, AAs, Hispanics) will probably have better access than Medicare patients. It’s all about voting patterns for demographic groups.
