I saw a news report on people in line on Monday for the Black Friday sales to be first in the store. Their family will drop off the Thanksgiving dinner while they wait in line. Totally wrong set of priorities.
At a nearby Best Buy, there were people in line last Saturday. Idiotic. Of course, the reporter plays up the hard luck angle, guy lost his job, five kids, blah, blah, blah. What she never asked him though, was why the hell he wasn't out knocking on doors to see if he could rake leaves and clean out gutters? Between Saturday and Wednesday, he could earn enough money to buy a better computer.
She wanted to be first in line because last year, she waited too long to get in line and ended up being #17 in line. When the BB opened, the store had only 15 flat screen tvs, which is what she was in the market for.
