Which reminds me of another story of someone shot a woman (thankfully no injury) because her harido was showing over the fence and the shooter thought it furry or something.
Back about 20 years ago I was shooting skeet with our gun club in South Carolina. A cropduster plane, a small Cessna or Beechcraft or something, flew over us and sprayed an insecticide...smelled like Dursban...I thought he was trying to poison us, and came within an ace of letting him have it with my 12-gauge Browning. Just in the nick of time, the club president remarked that the pilot was trying to control the mosquitoes that were pestering us (and that the pilot was the landowner who leased the land to us!). Thanks goodness I didn’t shoot.
