I’m 67. I grew up thinking “Happy Holidays” meant Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. I think for many it still does.
I didn’t know the first thing about Hannukah until the Jewish girls in the dorm taught us about it our freshman year in college!
Yes, some folks are out to silence Christians about Christmas, but I don’t see them everywhere and I think the AFA is creating unnecessary rancor with it’s insistence on “Christmas” only.
Any “holiday” occuring between Thanksgiving and New Years that involves gift-giving should be included.
