Hostess workers say company’s collapse a strong message of union resolve
Bangordailynews ^

BIDDEFORD, Maine — Labor leaders in Maine say the resilience of the Hostess workers on the picket line at the company’s Biddeford plant, which is in the process of being shut down after the company on Friday said it would liquidate the business, gives them inspiration in the face of what they believe have been ongoing efforts — by politicians, including Gov. Paul LePage, and corporate investors — to reduce union influence.

Yes, the unions have resolve...the resolve to do stupid things that cost them their jobs.

Some people are simply too stupid to live.

So they gave up their jobs "for the people".

They gave up their jobs because they're dumb. They should have dumped the union themselves and negotiated.

Wait until they get their first unemployment check and realize....Is that all there is???

Obama is about to give the unions card check, and the NLRB is about to force companies to turn over the names and addresses of all their employees.

With these two tools, the unions can forge the signatures of enough employees to force the unionization of any company without the consent of anybody.

This time next year, we'll all be paying union dues to the Democrat slush fund.

99 weeks ended this year.

You are back to state run unemployment which in many states has been cut as well.

“Obama is about to give the unions card check, and the NLRB is about to force companies to turn over the names and addresses of all their employees.”

Obamacare also was design to add about 21 million new union members from among health workers. http://dailycaller.com/2012/08/19/book-obamacare-law-designed-to-unionize-21-million-health-care-workers/

The union’s “investment” in Obama has paid off handsomely—largely at OUR expense with a little collateral damage on workers such as those previously employed at Hostess.

Went to the store this morning and the Hostess products shelves were almost empty. Still had a few boxes of cupcakes and had some pies, but not a whole lot else. No Twinkies. It was sad. I grew up with Hostess stuff. Now we will never see them again.

BTW, I believe only 6 percent of all workers are unionized.
The closer it gets to zero the better.

In a free market, income is based on the need for what you do, how competent you are at what you do, and how easily you can be replaced. Unions violate this free market rule.
