"None of Us" at Free republic have been in "half" the tempting or dangerous situations he's seen over the last 40 years ...

and that includes his original testimony before Congress.



Perhaps The General smelled a rat ... and was buying time to conduct his own "face-to-face" investigation ...

and now that he knows the WHOLE truth ...

including supplements from British Intelligence ...

he's now prepared to kick Obama's stinkin' hide back to Kenya ...

Well put. It’s easy for us to bluster, but few if any of us have ever been in that position or anything even remotely like it.

He was a general, and therefore had to be pretty PC to get to the rank he attained, although he also obviously had skills and was a thoughtful person. I think it’s very possible that he wants to do the right thing now, even if he blew it the first time around for whatever reason (possibly not to protect himself, but somebody else).

Don’t count on it. My guess is that Petraeus is going to try to save his own hide and cover for both himself and Obama, by concentrating his testimony on the false narrative surrounding the video and refusing to answer questions regarding the “stand down”, which he will claim is classified information.
