Was the 2012 Election Stolen?
American Thinker ^ | 11/13/2012 | Selwyn Duke

Posted on 11/13/2012 6:42:05 AM PST by SeekAndFind

As the 2012 election approached, conservative enthusiasm grew. Mitt Romney was drawing huge crowds while Barack Obama spoke in half-filled stadiums. All the passion lay on the right while the left was discouraged with a promised messiah who proved merely a politician. And the prediction was that, in contrast to 2008, Republican turnout would dwarf the tuned-out and carry the day.

Hence the shock November 6 eve. How could Romney lose, especially by such a wide electoral margin? Maybe he didn't. At least not legitimately.

When I predicted Obama's re-election, I stated that, despite our country's inexorable leftist slide, Romney would still win on Election Day were it not for vote fraud. I explained that the Democrats could steal more than enough votes in crucial swing states to turn the election. And I still believe what I did then: electoral criminality put Obama over the top.

At the time, we heard stories about electronic-machine "glitches" switching Romney votes to Obama ones. And Patrick Moran, son of Congressman Jim Moran (D-VA), was caught on tape facilitating vote fraud while Bridgeport, CT mayor Bill Finch essentially promised to commit same for a political partner in crime.

Since then, the indications of electoral criminality have been overwhelming. First there are the anecdotes, such as the court-appointed Republican poll watchers illegally expelled from 13 Philadelphia polling places in wards that, in most cases, went 99 percent for Obama; the poll observers who noted what they considered vote fraud but were powerless to stop; and the Democrats who actually bragged about voting more than once.

Then there are the statistics, such as this staggering fact: in 59 Philadelphia districts, Romney failed to get even one vote. Final Obama-Romney tally: 19,605 to 0. Huh? Not even one person voted GOP accidentally?

Republican Governors could MAYBE stop this farce from going forward - IF they stood together.

Especially in States like PA with a Voter ID law that was enacted and approved by over 70% of the state, and one single Democrat judge had it blocked “for this election only”.

But realistically, with a spineless weasel like Boehner as the Speaker already talking about “falling in line”, I don’t see it happening.

Wish it would, but...

I am tired of hearing the election was stolen. We know it was; now what is going to be done about it?

Thanks for the compliment but I fail to see that the "establishment" is responsible for these loses. Until all of us figure it out that liberalism (and Democrats) are our enemy, we will continue to lose.

As far as I'm concerned, I'm more than happy to allow you (and all Freepers) to choose the next candidate and I'll support your candidate.

Now, who do you choose who will win?

People are in a panic, and are heading to those who whisper promises. That is what happened in the USSR, even when they were being starved out. The nation has decided to die.

Exactly. Instead of doing their part to rebuild this nation into an economic dynamo it once was, people are instead scooping up government money for themselves and saying "screw the future. I got mine!"

that is the home of BGSU.. and if the college is in session they will have well over the number of people that live there voting

College students in Wisconsin are notorious for voting in the district where their dorm is then file an absentee ballot for their home. Some have claimed much more then two faked ballots. The Wisconsin AG(D) said it was all smoke w/ no fire. Move along, nothing to see here (these aren't the droids you've been looking for...)

The concern has to be ... if Americans begin to lose faith in voting, thinking what’s the point it’s rigged ... our political system of fair & honest voter participation collapses. We are well on our way with that scenario.

It is difficult to impossible to prove something like voter fraud in the numbers nessaray. The fact is all the evidence would take a life time to gather and we have less than 4 years.

O sure we can prove signification events of voter fraud here & there but we cant Prove all the cases.

I am still wondering why Obama took in private an oath after being sworn in publicly in his first election. I know they told some BS story; but who and what was he actually swearing an oath to behind closed doors?

More registrants that census-eligible voters (wood county) is not a good thing, but it is not neessarily a sign of massive fraud. Usually it is a sign of failure to purge the lists regularly, and it happens in various places in the country. Usually it also means a fairly low turnout of the supposedly registered. Here are the wood county actual returns:

Wood

Obama 51.1% 31,596

Romney 46.9% 28,997

Other 2.0% 1,259

Note that the total vote is about 60K out of the 108K registered or the 104K eligible -- which is pretty low as a percentage of registered. Alos, note that Obama just barley carried the county, so there was NO, REPEAT NO instance of voting over 100% of the registered, or Obama getting over 100% of the vote, as some have said on various threads.

“na levo” is literally translated as “on the left” but as a colloquial Russian saying it roughly translated as “on the side.” To the extent the consumer economy operated at all in the old USSR, it operated as an underground barter economy. Everything was “na levo.” You want to make sure you jump the line to see a particular doctor, or you want to have him see you after hours? Build him a deck for his house. To get the lumber for the deck, you give the guy at the lumber yard a couple bottles of vodka. Does someone want a concrete pad for a garage where they will work on cars? Maybe you know a guy who drives the concrete mixers, and you get him to go pour the guy a new floor with some “free” concrete. You get your cars repaired, you take care of the concrete truck driver by building him a deck....

None of it is reported to the government. In fact, it’s theft materials and time from the government that fuels it. But everyone does it just to get by. Nobody cares about money; money is worthless. It’s not “what does it cost?” but “what do you have?” Our economy will begin to operate the same way. It’s human nature.

The downside for the Soviet Union was the KGB/Russian mafia. The mafia tends to thrive in these arrangements, and in Russia it was mostly by not enforcing the laws against “na levo” arrangements, but by muscling their “cut.” It was no surprise that the Russian mafia appeared so quickly after the fall of the Soviet Union. It is composed of former KGB officers, who had been acting as the mafia in the “na levo” economy all along.

If we are going to be Soviets, we might as well learn to live like the Soviets.

“I think we should concentrate on voter reform.”

A lot of good that does for trying to get to the bottom of this past “election’s” illegalities.

Anyway, I think you mean election reform unless you also mean that certain registered voters need ideological reforming, in which case I would agree.

I’ve accepted the fact that we’re now under an illegitimate tyranny. I take solace in the fact that it is unsustainable and will collapse upon itself, and those who depend on it the most will face the consequences of their sloth.

Yep - I really don't understand all this gnashing of teeth & hand wringing. That which is unsustainable inevitably ends - usually with a resounding crash. You can reference the 2nd law of thermodynamics (the impossibility of perpetual motion) ie work must be performed or entropy ensues.

Or, alternatively exponential math (doubling periods) ie compound principal+interest on debt always outruns productivity & income. Btw, it must be this way because interest rates are always set higher than growth - if not, bankers would be on the losing side of the equation eg their investments (loans receivable) would diminish in value. They've been at this for over 5,000 years, so they're pretty familiar with the routine.

Let's grant the premise: the election was stolen. Does that make anyone feel better? You're telling me something of this magnitude was achieved? What does that tell you about the state of the union and how deep the corruption now runs? You really wanna know the answer?

Nah, the answer is elementary - no one works if they don't have to. Mortgage the accumulated wealth of a nation for a few generations on the credit card garners a lot of votes. For those elected, it's a pretty fun gig - mistresses/hookers, parties, insider trading, build up a nice nest egg, etc.

This baby is toast, so all we have to do is sit back and wait for its demise. That will be when it's time to act.

I think the majority of Americans still agree Romney has the best economic policy but it was the PC crowd that came out to vote for “women” “tolerance” etc and not their collective economic self-interest.

“Do not let GOP establishment use the vote fraud as an excuse for their loss and failure.”

Voter and election fraud is illegal. Prosecute all participants to the full extent of the law. ZERO TOLERANCE! I, among millions of others, allege that voter and election fraud have undermined an otherwise successful campaign bid by Mitt Romney.

“Romney was a poor candidate and their campaign was weak and ineffective.”

If true, there was nothing illegal about Romney’s campaign. Any weakness and/or ineffectiveness is contingent upon the election’s having been won fair and square by Obama.
