I fail to see how throwing these generals out of the service keeps them quiet.
Dead guys tell no tales, but fired guys are renowned for enthusiastically spilling the beans.
A fired general who spilled enough beans would be a shoe-in for a bestselling book.
Good point. A U.S. administration has very little leverage over someone after he/she is fired.
