He earned income and paid plenty of taxes for 10 years, fell on hard times, signed up for food stamps.

Is it the proposal to cast this former taxpayer out on the street to starve now that we can't suck more taxes out of him?

It doesn’t sound like he “fell” on hard times. It sounds like he “sauntered” over to them, leaving a job behind (working is so 20th century) and discovered that not working is quite satisfying as long as others pay to support him.

What a retarded question! You must be a liberal. Only a liberal would seriously think that this guy has only two options:

1. Starvation; or,

2. Insist that us taxpayers buy him organic salmon, fresh turmeric, triple-creme cheese, and organic asparagus.

F**K THAT GUY! Anyone on aid who acts like that doesn’t need the help.

The issue is buying specialty foods that are costly luxuries on the public dime when prudence calls for cutting back to basics. It’s galling to see subsistence aid used for excess instead of survival. Either the individuals purchasing these items don’t really need the assistance, or the assistance is entirely too generous, in a time when we are facing cutbacks everywhere and potential tremendous tax increases. These people come across as self absorbed pigs, quite honestly. Rice and beans won’t kill them. Being humbled quite possibly would do them some good down the road.

There are a lot of part time positions opening up in the restaurant industry.

No.

Just shoot his ass so the rest of us don’t have to pay for him.

That is the response you were hoping for isn’t it?

Somehow, over the last ten years, I doubt he made a lot of income or paid much in Federal Income Taxes.

In order for him to get food without paying for it, I must pay for food without getting it.

Does that make sense?

The proposal is that we, in kindness, give him $3/day and the link in my tagline.
