Ok Let’s ditch the word Conservatism. Let’s call ourselves “Originalists” instead. As in the original intent of the founders.
Then Meet the Press would say that us Originalists espouse outdated ideas from a bunch of rich, white guys who are ancient history. This has already been said by Lefties.
The other tact the Lefties take against our founding fathers is to present writings from Tommy Jefferson and others and interpret (twist) them as evidence that some of our founders actually wanted socialism.
