I find it amazing that the right refuses to fight back on these charges of extremism... I think voting for infanticide is an extremist position that is well outside what Americans would tolerate of their politicians but they elected a President that is that extreme.
When the left is allowed to determine what defines extreme than of course even moderate republicans will be charged as such.

He'd have to tack hard a starboard to be a moderate.
