Thanks. You made it sound as if West made the decision on his own to move from FL22 to FL18, but as you restated it was the GOP hierarchy doing the shift. I doubt that he would have had any support trying to not follow their request, little that he gets anyway.

Go watch that movie at #99 - we’re all getting screwed!

Yes, the decision really was pushed by the GOP hierarchy. Allen West won my district, #22 by 8 points in 2010. It is not true that this district was hard democrat. Clay Shaw was in office here for 12 terms but was a casualty of the 2006 GOP wipeout. West restored it and would have been well served to stay here. I still am upset that the hierarchy did not put him up for the senate seat. Ultimately, it was fear of Allen West as a very strong, very vocal conservative. Instead we got Mack and he was dismal.
