I believe you are right except I want to be alive when it happens and I want to die know there is a future of liberty for my son and future grandchildren.
It is our generation that, for the most part, that is to blame. We would be remiss to leave it for another generation to fix on our behalf.

The only liberty in anyone’s future is for those who will escape the coming tribulation as a born again believer in Jesus Christ.
Point being... we are THAT close to the events foretold in the book of Revelations.
