Astoria, New York HUGE Voter Turnout, Very Long Lines!
OrthodoxNet ^ | 11/5/2012 | OrthodoxNet

Heard from family members in Astoria, NY. They're seeing a HUGE turnout at the polls. Wait times of 45 minutes to 1.5 hrs or more in line.

These are the biggest lines they've EVER seen when voting (over 30 year span)! This is the kind of passion and enthusiasm we've seen from Romney voters, not the Obama "fear and revenge" crew.

It looks like New York may be in play after all. Keep praying America, keep praying!

because of all of the chaos around here in NY, Romney will come a lot closer that Republicans in the past but he won’t win NY - NJ may be another story.

“Its a lock for Obama, thanks to New York City!”

But what may help Romney there is that many New Yorkers are probably very upset with the federal government due to lackluster assistance with Hurricane Sandy.

A lot of traditional areas that normally go Dem will be much closer then Obama would like. The enthusiasm is notably absent and they have had to campaign in traditionally safe states late in the game.

Just voted here in SoCal..you know this state is screwed up when you see Roseanne Barr on the ballot. My Mom who is a Democrat(But hasn’t voted Dem since Bill Clinton) voted for Romney..the place was practically empty..yeah I know its CA and it will go to Obama but I dont see the enthusiasm here for Obama, not ONE sign in my area..which I know is Democrat..I saw a car with an LOL bumper sticker on it with Obama’s logo in the middle of it it was awesome to see

i live in liberalsville, NY (new castle....home of the clintons) and i agree- NY is not in play but it may be an indicator of what’s going to happen in those “light blue” and “light red” states....here’s why...

four years ago my polling station was packed- you could not get into the parking lot and the lines were long- super long for this polling station as everyone was there to vote for obozo....

i voted the same time this morning (about 11AM)- it was empty...the parking lot at the entrance of the poll was half full...in and out in three minutes...

again- don’t think NY goes Romney yet if obama enthusiasm is down in an area where four years ago 8 of every ten cars had obama stickers, what’s it going to be like in a toss-up area??

the only thing that concerns me is how does the thread starter know Astoria, which is full of greeks, hispanics and latinos. is lining up to vote for Romney???

I think this is all over the country.

Just got off the phone with my father in South Bend, Ind. He said he’s never had to wait before but a 30 minute wait today.

His precinct generally runs 60/40 Republican.

Yep. She was on the Florida ballot as well.

With Cindy Sheehan as her running mate.

“Greeks and Italians HATE HATE HATE Obama. I live in NYC area and know a lot of greeks, hard working people - hate obama.”

You’re absolutely right.

However, my Communist (greek) uncle in Chicago loves Obama, and so do my mother/sister.

Listening to them talk politics is like watching episodes of the Twilight Zone that were scrapped and never aired b/c they were “too far fetched.”
