Perhaps Zer0 needs to do a flyover to get Sandy's New York victims pumped.
I can understand the power outage problems and those of roadways and railways/subways, but the problems are excaberated by the labor unions who will not permit “free” workers to help.
Failure to deliver water, food, toilet paper and blankets, as a minimum, are problems that are unforgiveable!
Aren’t there helicopters in the area that could take in supplies of needed things? ....I’ve seen ZERO coverage of any choppers delivering supplies.
Totally disorganized recovery effort.
When asked about FEMA’s response, Obama replied, “I...Uh, I...I...uh, uh...I mean, just let me...uhm, say...... GREAT JOB, Craig!”
How are those "strict gun ownership laws" working out for you folks (not you, Jyotishi...generic New York "you")?? It appears to me that the crooks still have guns, and the law-abiding do not.
Schadenfreude.
Doesn't THEIR Walmart have the Windham Weaponry SRC 16 AR-15 for $799?
Or perhaps they are temporarily out?
I hear from a friend in Westchester County NY that she’s been told she will have power back by the 9th!
Yeah ... all that gun control crap is just working out splendidly for them ...
Here a site hwere you can move your cursor to see overlaid satellite before and after photos of the destruction along the Jersey Shore:

When there’s widespread damage from twisters here in Indiana (like in March of this year) there’s an immediate flood of volunteers that pour in with chainsaws, pickup trucks, etc.
Cleanup begins within hours.
Watching the news from NY/NJ I get the feeling everyone is sitting around waiting for FEMA or somebody to do the work?
Is this true? Or are volunteers kept out because they aren’t working to union scale?
My son-in-law’s crew arrived yesterday. They were cursing and screaming at them.
Don't really trust the Red Cross or the Sally Army - too many bureaucrats.
Finally decided to send to the Gary Sinese Foundation.
He is good solid Republican and I trust him.
BTW Any of you watch CSI New York?
Gary is getting side-lined by Sela(?) Ward. Perhaps he is being punished for his political views by the libs. in Hollywood.

After one week without electricity, phone and heat the power is now on! Back to eating some real food. It was cold and very boring and depressing. But I’m thankful that it wasn’t worse. Schools, Gas stations and many businesses are still closed.
