Reid says he can't work with Romney

Five days before the election, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has ruled out trying to work with Mitt Romney should he win next week.

"Mitt Romney's fantasy that Senate Democrats will work with him to pass his 'severely conservative' agenda is laughable," Mr. Reid said in a statement on Friday, trying to puncture Mr. Romney's closing election argument that he'll be able to deliver on the bipartisanship President Obama promised in 2008 but has struggled to live up to.

Mr. Reid, a Nevada Democrat and a Mormon, like Mr. Romney, has become the Republican presidential nominee's chief critic this campaign, at one point accusing him of failing to pay taxes — a charge that Mr. Romney has refuted.

I completely agree.. the senate hasn’t been “working” for Obama’s entire term.
This is just like the little kid at the table who wants dessert but won’t eat his vegetables.

With all the rhetoric you hear from the left about the conservatives being "partisan", and being a "roadblock" in Congress, the curtain now opens to show us this old geezer whining that "he can't work with Romney.".

The old bastard doesn't work with anyone, except maybe Pelosi.

This is spoiled and childish attitude, and if he worked in the private sector he'd be in obama's unemployment lines, fired for failing to be a "team player" and causing havoc in the workplace.

I would so like to see his grumpy old ass headed back to Nevada in January...for good. Maybe that should be "forever", as there is no "good" in the man.

I have to agree with Reid on this one. If Romney seriously believes he can somehow ride the middle without offending either side, he’s an idiot. If Romney believes he can declare a unilateral truce in the culture war and focus on purely on fiscal matters, again, he’s an idiot. The sodomites and statists haven’t given up.

Don’t know how Romney expects to middle Weed, er Reid, though if he gets elected. The GOP should have taken the Senate this cycle but given the dolts running, it is now impossible. I have not seen a pro Mack ad run in north florida in the past two weeks while BillyBoy Nelson runs ads seemingly 24/7. One talks of his bipartisanship, the other what a miscreant Mack is and there is no answer from Mack who seems to think he is on cruise control. RINO’s gave Akin no help trying to play to a part of the electorate they will never win. Brown seemingly cannot take out pocohontis even bending as far left as the route from second base to third. Romney’s coat tails are more of Nehru Jacket length. It looks to me we may pick up a net 2 seats maximum in senate.
