After it became obvious that Obama had done nothing to rescue Americans from a terrorist attack, the Obama Administration went into spin control to try and characterize it as a spontaneous demonstration over an obscure YouTube video.

I have no doubt that the first thing that Obama thought about was how bad Carter looked after his failed attempt to rescue the American hostages from Iran. Of course, at least Carter attempted a rescue.
