First in a sprawling series on Fox Newss Oct. 26 Benghazi story.
It happens now and again in the world of news. An organization comes up with a stunning news report, and other outlets decline to follow up on the news. They just stay quiet. A number of scenarios are possible:
1) The outlet just has much better sources than the rest of the media;
2) The story is bunk;
3) The story is true, but the news contradicts what the rest of the media has already reported.
Last Friday, Fox News came up with a conversation-driver. A piece under the byline of reporter Jennifer Griffin opened with these revelations:
Fox News has learned from sources who were on the ground in Benghazi that an urgent request from the CIA annex for military back-up during the attack on the U.S. consulate and subsequent attack several hours later on the annex itself was denied by the CIA chain of command who also told the CIA operators twice to stand down rather than help the ambassadors team when shots were heard at approximately 9:40 p.m. in Benghazi on Sept. 11.

The simple answer is obvious.
Obama and the MSM are traitors to the US Constitution
and the American people.
It has taken four years of their treason for America,
a true sleeping giant, to awaken.
(MSM) Hello, ello, llo, lo........
Is this an ECHO, Echo, cho, ..... Chamber here? here, re....
Now I know one more.
Pffff...... Erik Wemple should know better. There’s a 4th possibility.
Doesn’t he know FauxNews is the fringe rightwing news outlet? Benghazi story was a trump up lie only Faux News and nutcase bloggers were pushing.
/Sorry, that’s all I read from reader comments on msm....
MSM sold out, and are now owned by a treasonous administration.
I could almost...almost... buy this is the DBM didn’t pick up on every negative rumor or innuendo about a Republican and run it as gospel truth.
Why bother asking the question if you already know the answer? Bias, pure and simple.
Wow, you know that old saying,”Yyou can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink?”

I think Foxs’ reputation as a propaganda outlet rather than actual news source may be what keeps legitimate media outlets from following their lead. It’s a little tough to take them seriously and grant them credibility. That...or they’ve found that there really isn’t any there, there.
Sad, isn’t it?
For the MSM to cover this would be tantamount to them admitting that they are stupid and gullible . No liberal alive ever admits to this.
Lame!
Well, that's actually his option 2) The story is bunk. The MSM thinks if they say nothing they can use Fox's reputation to render the story bunk, whether it's true or not.
The MSM thinks they make the news.
"No one at any level in the CIA told anybody not to help those in need; claims to the contrary are simply inaccurate. - David Patreus, CIA Director.
Who else is in the "CIA chain of command" who is also not "at any level in the CIA"?
A: 0bama.
WASHINGTON POST - do not send to ask for whom the bell of the death of truth tolls, it tolls for thee.
4. the news makes liberals look bad...
(Let's start with CPB and NPR.)
Shame game the MSM — why did Reagan get excoriated by the MSM for Beirut, while Obama gets away scot free for Benghazi? #doublestandard
Did everyone in Germany hate the Jews in the 1930s and 1940s? I don’t think so. So, why was there so little outrage from the German people over the abuse and murder of the Jews by The National Socialist Party ( the Nazis)? Because the Nazis promised the German people a perfect world, a utopia, if they would just let them implement their policies. Yeah, some Jews were going to get abused and killed, but that was a small price to pay for utopia, wasn’t it? And so the German people marched enthusiastically to hell. It’s the same with our old media. Yeah, four Americans got killed in Benghazi, but the Democrats want to give us utopia. I mean, Obama has “a higher calling”. Four dead Americans are a small price to be paid for a Democrat utopia. And those other people killed in the Middle East? Well, no pain no gain in Democrat utopia land? Still a small price. The old media lie to themselves and believe it. Oh, and that “National Security” argument? Don’t bother to trot that BS argument out. You forfeited that argument decades ago when you published THE PENTAGON PAPERS. The old media march happily to hell praising the Democrat party. It’s a shame so many people will have to die before the press will admit they’re wrong, but then, the dead people aren’t their sons and daughters, are they?
On the other hand, no one approved it.
Why do so many not see through the respose by the WH?
They claim they “never denied sending help”. But what they did is IGNORE the request. A request ignored in fact IS a request denied.
