Over in NYC the official word is the surge at The Battery will be the highest in history ~ and their history goes back to 1620 give or take a few.
Takes a special storm to do that.

Locally (CT), they are predicting 4 high tides before the storm surge is over. Wow. Folks in FL do not even have a modern point of reference for that sort of event. Soaked soil, salt damaged crops and vegetation are going to be a problem. May the good Lord protect those of you in the path of thing.
