There has been a strong gender gap for many years. In 1980, for example, Ronald Reagan only beat Jimmy Carter by 1 point among women. Yeah, it's that bad. Women tend to be suckers for liberal emotional appeals, men tend to respond more to conservative logic. Women tend to be more collectivist, men tend to be more independent. These patters are not likely to change anytime soon.
