For a Chicago sports nut, President Obama is spending an awful lot of time watching the District of Columbia's sports teams.

Obama's spokesman said that the president thought Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III's performance in Sunday's game against the Vikings was "remarkable" and helped boost the city's spirits after a dispiriting Nationals playoff loss last week.

Obama "did comment on the restoration of faith in Washington sports teams created by RGIII’s remarkable performance in the Redskins game,"

No one in their right mind would consider a stupid Redskins regular-season win consolation for Friday night’s Nats loss. I was there. It was traumatizing.

I wonder if Obama is aware of Baylor’s devout Christian roots and its continued committment to the Christian mission. From what I have read about Richard Griffin the 3rd he is from a family which has honorably served this nation in the Army of the US. He is well travelled and is well eduucated and is seemingly lacking in the in your face gabgsta motif of too many pro and college athletes. He seems as upstanding as Tim Tebow, if considerably more talented. Ndevertheless i expect Mr. Mara’s Giants to introduce Mr. Griffin into the perils of life in ther NFC East this Sunday.

Excuse me, O-Bung-O, RGIII, is good, but he is a rookie. Why not talk about Aaron Rogers or Josh Freeman (both had a good day Sunday).

RG3 is a nice man...(he said the best OOC place he played at was UConn's Rentschlar Field.) and barring any major injures..he'll be around for a while.
