Because everyone had such a great time at the last shoot we are anxious for the next one.
The date for the 8th Annual TCMS shoot will be June 8th, 2013 and will be held at Dietz Gun Shop and Shooting Range, in New Braunfels, TX. Providing we get the OK from Mr. Dietz – I will call him this week to discuss our coming to the range.
Staying in the Pelican Bay cottages this year was a stroke of genius, so we will again be staying in cottages. The cottage pick for this shoot is the Cypress Creek Cottages, in Wimberley, TX. There are only twelve cottages at this place, and as of this writing 7 of them have been reserved. NOTE: They require full payment at the time the reservations are made. Wimberley also has some very nice hotels in the area in the event all the cottages get rented.
Making it a three & a half day weekend will be the plans for many of us, that way we can enjoy the area and have lots of porch time.
The Friday night dinner & Saturday breakfast places have not yet been decided. There is still plenty of time to figure out those details. Saturday after the shoot lunch will be provided by our own chef ~ cpdiii (Thanks Charlie!). Suggestions for the Saturday night meal are more than welcome.

There are no finer monkeys that I would prefer sitting on a porch and conversating with than the TCMS regulars & newbies ~ we are the best folk ever!

Yes, there will be plenty of soap again. Actually, anytime you need more soap, just tell me, and I’ll send you some. I can send it to you or to Gunner, no never mind.
You guys are going to have to try my new baby ~ Marlin 45-70.
I rationed the soap just right this past year ~ the main one I use is almost a sliver.
OK, well next, next weekend for most folks. Us hard core TCMS folk get started in eight days!!!

Do we have an approximate number of those attending at this time?
The Brisket is in my freezer. I will fire up my smoker next week and cook it. It will then go in the fridge and be warmed up the next day at the shoot. Last week I bought a small one and cooked it for myself. It was delicious.
The Shrimp Creole will also be made the day before the shoot and put in the fridge.

I have a family reunion this weekend, all the stuff I need to take is staged in the living room. On Sunday I will start thinking about staging shoot/porch monkey stuff.

I went a little easier on the scents, except for one batch.
