It is NOT contrary to the Constitution. They should take it to the Supremes.

Where in the constitution does it state a separation of church in state?
It doesn't.
This notion is based on a letter from Thomas Jefferson.

We were guaranteed, “Freedom of Religion” NOT “Freedom FROM Religion” but the smarmy lawyers of ACLU ilk have distorted that guarantee such that it is now a weapon against us and WE ALLOWED IT TO HAPPEN.
The Tree of Liberty is dying and needs a lot of fertilizer.

Tyranny by the individual against the majority. The proper response by the school to this “parent” should have been GFY.

The term “just say no” is becoming more and more relevant.
Sooner or later, we’re going to have to either confront these folks verbally....or physically.
Don’t doubt me.

We live in the era of the tyranny of the stupid or venal “lone parent”.
One misguided parent who cannot, or will not, understand the clearly written words in the first ammendment of the Bill of Rights, rules over the school board, the wishes of the community and common sense.
The school board backed down too quickly to the wishes of one person. What about the wishes of the football team, the student body, the rest of the community?

so this one parent is a judge for everyone? fight for it and make them somehow prove it.
they don’t bend over backwards when religious folks complain about immorality and junk science being taught in the govt schools.
best thing in the world would be for government to get out of every area of life that it both competes and regulates the private sector. what if microsoft or apple both competed in the markets and also regulated the market they compete in? after all isn’t this one of many problems with obamacare? and government healthcare period?

Tell the district and ACLU to stick it up their arse.
Then do the same when the pretend judge weighs in.

The cross in question is a symbol intended to strike fear. It is Roman in origin and represents the crucifixion coming for the opposing team.

So this “violates the Constitution”?? How?
I guess this “school” should read that document a little more often and a little closer and tell that ONE PERSON that complained to pound sand.
The crosses were put there by choice - if the gov’t had mandated that they put them there, *then* it might be unconstitutional. The fact that this Catholic school is being forced to remove them sounds more unconstitutional.
Lord, this is sad...

Wisconsin school district has ordered a joint public-private school football team to change its logo in the middle of the season after a lone parent said the inclusion of a bishops hat and cross was a violation of the U.S. Constitution.
Corruption! America will not survive if judges can just make stuff up about the Constitution. The US Constitution does not say anything that would force the removal of the Cross. What is wrong with this country?

A parent last week raised the question asking if this was a violation of separation of church and state.
There is no such principle and it certainly is not in the US Constitution.

...after a lone parent said the inclusion of a bishops hat and cross was a violation of the U.S. Constitution. Anyone who actually believes that commie horsesh*t is either doing way too many recreational drugs or just a clueless, retarded moron when it comes to the U.S. Constitution.
