I kinda wonder where Bernie Mac would stand on Obama if he was still alive.

I remember an episode of his sitcom where his niece was telling a white girl that she owed something because of slavery and Bernie jerked his niece aside and set her straight about earning her own way in the world and that nobody owed her anything.

about the black middle class,
that was growing rapidly in the 1950’s.
