Leadership is a trait known to many, learned by some and perfected by few. It is not something that can be inherited or passed on or even learned in a textbook. Its about taking responsibility, and has to be earned on a daily basis.
John F. Kennedy perhaps described it best: Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty.
Ronald Reagan praised Kennedys words of wisdom, adding his own: Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didnt pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.
In December 2009, at an Israel seminar I hosted on security challenges in a radically changing world, I was introduced to a leader bearing the same characteristics of both these great men. I was afforded the privilege of spending several days with Lt. Col. Allen West.

Obama doesn’t support Israel. Rev. Wright and Obama’s Arab backers want them wiped off the map.
I like to see Allen West run for POTUS.
Allen West has shown that that is not true but don't expect BO to get up the gumption to learn that.
I would love to see Col. West tapped for some cabinet position. He could run circles around the entire current cabinet!
How can you school someone who won't show up for class ?
