On its face that is a mostly true statement. No one is entitled to success, but they are entitled to the opportunity for success. What one does wth that opportunity is up to him. With that said, and knowing what I know about our moron President, I am pretty damn sure he also meant that no one is entitled to the opportunity for success.
I think what he meant is that if you ARE successful, you are not entitled to keep the fruits of that labor, you gotta share.
A couple of MAJOR problems:
1) everybody is getting a fair shot - Translation: Those who are too lazy to pull themselves up will be subsidized by those who are.
2) everybodys doing their fair share - Translation: Those who are successful are paying what I say is their fair share of taxes.
You always have to read between the lines and look at the meaning of the code words with liberals.
Equal opportunity.
Not equal outcome.
Everyone “is entitled to success,” IF they earn it.
NOBODY is guaranteed success.
But, in Obamaworld, IF you earn success, and begin to reap the rewards of that success, you ARE NOT “entitled” to those rewards; that wouldn’t be “fair,” because “You didn’t build that.”
In Obamaworld, you can latch onto all the opportunities you can find, take all the risks you can stand, put out all of the effort you can muster, and reap all the rewards you’re due, EXCEPT that WHEN you do so, there’ll be Uncle Sam at your door with his hand out intent on keeping things “fair.”
Obama has NO problem with people building things; he has HUGE issues with those same people KEEPING very much of the reward they earned in the process.
