The other thing I noticed was the children in Romney's family meeting yO with a cringing look on their faces when he bent down to greet them, like their skin was crawling just to be near him. Perhaps he reeks of cigarettes, poor dental hygiene, alcohol, weed, buttcrack, whatever..It's been my experience, when dining at a certain local fast-food restaurant, that once in a while an otherwise properly groomed (generally female) individual will enter the establishment enveloped in a cloud of cheap cologne that has a radius of about 20 feet. When the stench reaches my nose, I take one last bite of food (because I can no longer taste it, the "perfume" is competing for my senses) and dash out of there.
I don't know why certain people see fit to marinate themselves in fragrance like that; there's nothing subtle about it. It's almost an olfactory way of expressing hostility. Based on this experience, I wonder if one or more members of BO's family has the same obsession with cheap fragrance (which in some cases is designed to mask poor hygiene, smoking, or excessive alcohol consumption).

Makes sense, and could be why the kids cringed near him.
