Yeah, right. I know my mom would have “ignored” me for as long as it took to set her purse down so she could grab me and spank my behind-—in public, if necessary.
And if they don’t ignore it, they endlessly yell at the kid (only if he’s annoying them, never because he’s annoying innocent bystanders) outlandish threats while doing exactly nothing. So then you have the kid’s obnoxious behavior plus the “adult’s” obnoxious behavior, all at high decibel. Or the few that have any shame snatch the kid’s arm out its armpit and drag them home.
The threat of CPS removing children has made proper discipline nearly impossible.
