(CNSNews.com) Former Virginia Governor and current Democratic Senate candidate Tim Kaine said he would be fine with state legislatures changing the definition of marriage to include gay couples during a debate on Sept. 20.
Kaine, in a tight race with former Republican Senator and Governor George Allen, said that everybody should have the type of legally sanctioned marriage he and his wife enjoy.
I would be fine if they [state legislatures] did it and they labeled it marriage or civil unions or domestic partnership, Kaine said when asked if he agreed with President Barack Obamas position on legalizing same-sex marriage. For me, the test is: Are people treated the same and given the same legal rights and responsibilities regardless of their sexual orientation?
I think legal equality should be the policy, said the Democratic candidate.
Kaine also said that being for equality is never a bad thing and that homosexual couples should be able to enjoy the type of socially recognized relationship that he and his wife do.
As I get older, Ive come to the conclusion that being for equality is never a bad thing, said Kaine. We dont make a mistake when we follow the basic constitutional prescription that everybody should be entitled to equal protection under law.
My wifes here and Ill just say that the relationship weve had for over 28 years is something that I hope everyone would have, Kaine said. I think everybody should be able to have that kind of relationship regardless of their sexual orientation. I want everybody to be able to have it and not to have to hide it. I think it ought to be subject to being legally recognized and even legally celebrated.
The big issue here is that of religious authorities being forced by law or resignation to have to perform marriages based on behavior that they consider wrong, it’s not a far-fetched proposition to try and force chaplains in the military to do it under threat of lawsuit. It’s also not too far-fetched that it could be demanded of churches to marry, with just the right legal leverage. That’s what those who oppose so-called same-sex marriage really oppose. I could care less if anyone wants to call whatever relationship a marriage, so long as I don’t have to believe it under threat of lawsuit or criminal activity. I mean, at least I don’t have to believe that some religion’s marriages are eternal, or that some religion’s marriages actually count. But according to the gay rights advocates, it somehow is offensive that people don’t believe everything their way, it’s somehow hurtful. That almost sounds like some other religion that I know.
>> enjoy the type of socially recognized relationship that he and his wife do.
Dick.
Kaine is yet another complete imbecile useful to the evil homosexual agenda!

Where are the PODS?
PODS?
Yes in the original Invasion of the Body Snatchers, the pods represented the new person, basically a robot, to take over the bodies of the real people.
Now it is The Invasion of the Heterosexual Snatchers where ordinary, heterosexual people are being swallowed up by the gay agenda, to the point that they are becoming more pro-gay than gay activists themselves.
Where are the pods?
