You see the problem with your own statement in regards to what Romney said?
Many of the 47% would like to be working.
Of course you’re 100% correct. But he lumped them all together. Welfare queens with retired people with the truly disabled with the scam artists,the unemployed with ne’er do well.
It was a horrible statement.

The people who will be offended are those who want to be offended (victimized). Most retired people pay income tax. Social Security is taxed. Most retired people won't considered themselves in the 47 percent. Those unemployed by forces beyond their control are regularly seeking employment and many of them are earning something in the underground economy. Unemployment compensation is taxed as income. They don't see themselves in the 47 percent because they don't plan on staying jobless and poor. The profoundly disabled are occupied with just surviving. The chronically unemployed, the welfare chiselers, the disability frauds likely won't vote.

If Romney were and Democrat we wouldn't even be debating his remarks.
