While I fully agree about so many shows displaying the rank contempt the bicoastals seem to harbor toward the folks in 'flyover country', did you ever consider the contempt inherent in taxing the populace to construct a sports stadium, and then charging them out their nether orifice to sit in the nosebleed seats?

Really.

There are a few shows I enjoy, and a spot of news here and there (FOX, Financial), and movies (well, some of them, anyway).

Otherwise, most programming is just designed to make people less sensitive to the outrageous or perverted, or otherwise subvert decency and faith.

Just my $0.02, YMMV.

As I stated in a reply to another Freeper; I’m not suggesting Americans disconnect. That’s an individuals choice. I’m suggesting that we, as citizens, should be more selective and discerning in recognizing the ideology behind such programming (the writers and producers), and what the bigger picture is (no pun intended) and its implications and ramifications.
