He won the primary with Democrat votes and they know he will be easily beaten in the general. Are you not at all familiar with the situation here?
Correct. Texas Songwriter is making a fool of themselves by thinking this is a typical establishment versus tea party issue, and it’s not. Brunner is the best candidate I think, and Steelman would be fine too.
People shouldn’t show their ignorance guided by emotion on this forum with such certitude.
The proper response is, “None of us will agree 100% on everything. That is why there are many congressmen and senators to debate a consensus. My personal view is that Mr. Akin is wrong, but that the important thing is that we get on to a recovery from our current economic failure.”
As for the “raped women can’t get pregnant” stuff, up to 20 years ago, this was accepted to the point of being taught in some hospitals. Dr. Wilke was(is) a respected source on the right to life argument and he believed the same and taught the same.
Our congressmen have to make decisions on lots of things. Hopefully they are as up to date as possible on all things, but that is not possible on all things.
