Hate to break it to you Nana, but they'll be gunning for Ryan's gaffes no matter what he says, or doesn't say.
Just like they were gunning for Bush 41's gaffes, Dan Quayle's gaffes, and Bush 43's gaffes.
Not to mention Jim Watt's gaffes and Trent Lott's gaffes.
Obama's gaffes, they correct for him.
