(CNN) -- A military appeals court halted the murder case against Maj. Nidal Hasan on Wednesday over the Army psychiatrist's refusal to shave his beard before his scheduled trial in the 2009 killings at Fort Hood, Texas.
Hasan's court-martial had been scheduled to start Monday at Fort Hood, where he is accused of killing 13 people and wounding another 32.

Strap him down on a workbench, put his head in a vice, and dry-shave the POS.
If the vice is tightened too much, too bad.
A single 9mm to the back of the head is all he deserves.
Mark
Just hang him already - and then bury him with some bacon.
Save and shoot the POS! Enough of this crap!
I thought the Judge was going to have him shaved, if he didn’t shave himself.
Nope, too quick.
Start at the feet. Every refusal to shave loses a toe. Starting with the big toes.
Based on what I see...take him out to some basement room with no AC or lights, put a TV in front of him....run the case without the guy in the room, and accept the fact that he never was (NEVER WAS) US Army material. Whatever fool accepted him in....whatever fool kept signing ‘acceptable’ ratings for this guy....whatever fool promoted this guy.... disrespected the US Army, it’s core values, and its history. If a man won’t conduct himself in an acceptable fashion...even to defend himself in such case...within the system...it simply means that he lacks any human character, end of the story.
Boil the sob in bacon fat. He is unfortunately still listed as active military, and the military has to shave with few exceptions.
Will they delay the Joker’s trial if he refuses to get the red paint out of his hair?
Poor Major Hassan and his beard. Obama should pardon him and make him surgeon general.
For some reason they are putting off this trial.
A military court would not bother to put a trial off because a man who murdered 13 people will not shave.
What is a beard in comparison to murder.
There is more to this than an insistance that a person coming to trial has to shave because he is in the military.
This is horse hockey.
Trying to do all they can to make him not look like the jihadi that he is. Clean shaven it’s easier to sell the “workplace violence” angle as opposed to looking like a goathumper.
Let him keep growing the beard. Maybe if it gets long enough, we can hang him with that.
If he won’t take off the beard, then take off the head.
If they put his nuts in a jar, shaving won’t be an issue after just a little bit
“For some reason they are putting off this trial.”
Some reason? The reason is clear as day to me. Obama doesn’t want this in the news in the lead up to the election, because it can only hurt him.
Good. Let the military appeals court consider the appeal for five minutes, deny it, and resume the trial.
The record will show the appeal was considered.
Then the trial judge can order the defendant’s commanding officer to have him shaved, so witnesses can identify that they saw him murdering people.
I’ll loan the Fort Hood MPs my torch — with a full tank of propane...
forget shaving. Blowtorch it off of him.
I think they SHOULD let him have his beard!
He’s a Muslim ..he’s a Muslim Jhihadist..THEY have beards.
Let everyone see who he really is....not some nice doctor with a decent haircut!
the PR needs to be out there...they are Muslims through and through no matter how they seem.

This is now the PC version of the US Army, can’t offend the Islams you know, including the Prez.
As a long time reader of Free Republic I would cordially ask if you could share the new site I started http://cramerchronicles.com/ with your conservative friends & family...
Let’s get this waste out of office..
This is absurd. The court-martial board is being played by Hasan and his attorney.
If he doesn’t want to shave, banish him from the courtroom and try him in absentia.
Then, deny him his “muzzie” practices and feed him nothing but bacon and pork products at every meal.
I think word came down from the Comm. in Chief’s people to find an excuse to postpone the trial until after Nov. 6th.
Maybe he has a shaving profile or feels he is out to sea. Those who have served will know what I mean.
They are putting off this trial because this thirty five year old unmarried man who claims he is not married because “he could not find a wife devout enough” is most probably a homosexual. The army investigators probably found some interesting, politically inconvenient things when they searched his computer and apartment. Obama will never permit an open trial before the election.
His refusal to shave is a tacit waiving of his right to be present at the trial.
Military law permitting, he should be tried in absentia...
He was. That’s apparently why the Appeals Court postponed the trial. I don’t understand what the grounds were but there you go.
Did he commit these killings when cleanshaven?
Then he should appear in court that way to allow
witnesses to verify his identity.
This man is subject to UCMJ and as such must follow Army standards, including shaving.
Better yet, just cut his entire f*****g face off.
Isn’t this the second time around on this?
Throw the POS into a wood chipper along with a side of bacon, a pile of old shoes and a dozen Korans.
If it is because of PC, or the Army is now pussified, or whatever, we as a nation are doomed.

> For some reason they are putting off this trial.
Maybey they’re trying to delay it until after November. Obama probably feels that he’ll lose votes and the Islamic funding for his campaign if the case proceeds now.
Consider this Obammy like American citizen is likely still collecting a US paycheck of well over 100,000 annually, and one can really get riled. Probably still funding jihadis and Obammy every month. I wonder how the survivors and relatives can tolerate this injustice?
Why even permit any of our precious values to be wasted on this debris? This is war.
Execute him then shave his ass.
At the rate this is going, most of us will be dead and gone before his trial starts. Of course, by then the Moslems will have taken over the country and he will be released for time served.
Shave him.
Stop this insanity.
That's how the Turkish military handles disobedience. My dad showed me sequential pictures of an enlisted man who refused to get a haircut. The base barber gave him a permanent wave...with a very large sword. He aimed a little low. The whole head came off with one whack.
I agree.
I have 2 suggestions:
1 - let him “participate” via video, he can speak to his attys via a direct phone line, I’m sure we have the technology for that. Defendants only speak to their attys in whispers anyway, so no biggie there.
2 - if he really, really, really doesn’t want a trial, he can just be shot at dawn tomorrow. As with OBL no American, left or right, will care.
Save = Shave
I’m wondering if the army jags aren’t delaying to ensure he isn’t pardoned by Obama....I believe you can’t pardon if not convicted. Course that would just be me hoping for the better again - most likely it’s more the PC or political direction thing... sigh
Memory eternal Lt.Col Juanita Warman. Killed in action at FT. Hood by enemy hands.
“Just hang him already - and then bury him with some bacon.”
Wrap his Muzzie ass in raw bacon before putting the noose around his evil Muzzie neck. Make sure he understands that he will be buried with the rest of the pig that supplied the bacon. And remember, if Obama had a son...
“...he can just be shot at dawn tomorrow. As with OBL no American, left or right, will care.”
It is likely that Osama bin Obama would be sad, very sad.
Sine he kept cleanly shaved while on active duty and planning his massacre I conclude he was a spy and an enemy combatant - either shoot him as a spy or send him to Gitmo.
I like your plan.

“I thought the Judge was going to have him shaved, if he didnt shave himself.”
You’re right. This judge is a traitor appointed by Buckwheat to get Hasan off and back to his jihadist buddies in Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, soldiers and Marines who engage jihadists and kill them deserve to be tried for war crimes. Everything is upside down.
