Some Democratic lawmakers want to make sure that one question does not get asked at the upcoming first presidential debate—about Simpson-Bowles.

Three Democratic House members objected Tuesday to a request by four senators that President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney be asked which of the commission’s proposals to address the debt they support. The Democrats said such a question would force “candidates to choose solutions from one menu of options.” …

The Democrats also criticized the Simpson-Bowles commission in their letter, saying that while it seeks to address the debt, it doesn’t address priorities in infrastructure, education, research and other investments, and that the plan “asks seniors, the middle class, and military personnel to sacrifice more, while those with the most are asked to do even less to help in our recovery.” …

Someone needs to create a hashtag at Twitter to come up with all the “questions that shouldn’t be asked of Obama/Biden”

And Jim Lehrer (Host of NewsHour on PBS) will get the message and the question will not be asked in the first debate or the other debates moderated by personalities from ABC CBS or CNN!

How can someone prevent a question from being asked of a politician? Is that possible?

Let them ban the question ...then let Romney (please) be smart enough to bring it up and point out their opposition to talking about it.

But, it will mostly fall on deaf ears, anyway. I'll be less than one in fifty folks on the street have any idea what this is about.

Is that possible? Only if they're in bed together. They want to put a rubber on that question; or, failing that, abort it.

Yep, dem ads are all about personal attacks. GOP ads are about differences in policy. How this is going to play out w/ the conventions (GOP issues/dem personal attacks)and the debates (same) (and the media coverage) will be interesting.

Now get back to work, Olog-hai!

It is interesting to notice that whatever needs to be done to “Get America Back On the Right Track” is exactly what the Democrats and the Liberal Agenda Media accuse the Republicans of trying to destroy.

Their attacks are usually successful, and quickly put the RINOs on small-ball defense for the rest of the election campaign.

Being good RINOs, the trembling Republicans usually say: “Ohhhhh, no! Not us! We will save whatever YOU say that we should! You Democrats know best! You will ALWAYS have our Bipartisan Support to keep on being the cave-in, pro-debt wimps that we have always been.”

But Ryan can still answer the question, whether it’s asked or not.
