This reminds me of the night we found out Sarah Palin was the VP choice. FreeRepublic, along with one other website, had the news first.
That was memorable, wasn't it? I can still remember that first picture I saw of her in an FR thread. FReepers had the whole thing sussed in no time, and were providing details about this new national figure almost immediately.
I could live with Paul Ryan as VP, though he is needed in Congress with the fiscal issues. I'm hoping someone will start a thread saying that Rep. Alan West was seen boarding Romney's jet!

That was an incredible night! I was on those FR threads four years ago as well. We all strongly suspected McCain's pick was Gov. Sarah Palin because of the private plane flying from Alaska to Ohio.
I just got to this thread... is there any good info about this supposed "Romney's plane" or is this just a gossip thread?
Steve Hayes on Fox News now saying Marco Rubio was told he was NOT picked to be Romney's running mate. Hayes said it was "confirmed" that Rubio wasn't picked, and has been told. Whoa...
